Louise K. Blight is a conservation biologist with a PhD in zoology from the University of British Columbia. An adjunct professor at the University of Victoria’s School of Environmental Studies, she now serves as the co-chair of the Birds Specialist Sub-committee of the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada. Her writing has appeared in The Globe and Mail, The Reading Room, Science, Global Change Biology, Ecological Modelling, and Avian Conservation and Ecology. She lives on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. This is her first book.
